Jeffro 2pt0: A Tech Blog After My Own Heart

Being a blog author, or blogger, is not usually a primary job or significant source of revenue. Blogging is really more of a hobby. Usually we give up our free time to write articles and reviews. Why? Because we enjoy it! This is why I jump at the opportunity to write about another bloggers work. Tonight’s review is of fellow technology blog Jeffro 2pt0. While Site Scrutiny is usually focused on reviewing and discussing websites and internet products, Jeffro 2pt0 (reffered to as Jeffro from here on out) covers much broader technology related topics.
What does Jeffro blog about? Well, his website says the following:
This site will cover topics such as search engine optimization or SEO, web 2.0, social networking, social media, social media marketing, humorous jokes, reviews , blogging, and much more.
Jeffro’s author, Jeff, is an avid writer. Checking his archives, you will see he’s posted roughly 115 posts since June of this year. The articles are well written and are interesting. He also makes excellent use of graphics and images from the sites or applications he is discussing, a great way to keep reader’s interest.
Jeffro also interestingly doesn’t have advertisments covering his website. Most Bloggers don’t expect a steady income, but sometimes it is nice to get enough to pay for our hosting costs or even just to buy us a cold drink on a hot day. But hey, if you can do it ad free, go for it (hmm, maybe I should turn off advertisements on this post…) Jeffro also uses nice tactics to keep readers interested in coming back. Currently he is running a "Web 2.0" photo contest, and is even giving away a Pro membership to Flickr to the winner. The design of Jeffro is also top notch. Calling itself "Jeffro 2pt0" means it had better live up to the Web 2.0 hype. Although it is hard for blogs to be truly "2.0" equipped, Jeffro does a pretty good job at using sleek Wordpress themes and plugins to imitate it’s look and feel.
Overall, I am impressed with the quality and quantity of Jeff’s writing. If you are looking for interesting technology news and articles, I recommend Jeffro 2pt0. This is one for your RSS subscription list.
