New Look, Stronger Focus: Simply-Basic Back in Style

Published on June 18, 2008 4 CommentsPrint This Post Print This Post

I’ve finally finished uploading the new design for Simply-Basic.com. It took a little longer then I expected, but thing’s went pretty smoothly. The blog brings a new look (come out of your RSS readers!) comes from a modified version of the Arthemia theme. The homepage has a slight magazine-feel to it, yet keeps the true blog format

With the new look comes a stronger resolve and improved focus. I’m got some great ideas for tutorials and reviews, including videos! Take a few minutes and look around. Let me know of any bugs or problems you see. Since it’s already nearly 2:00 in the morning I’ll right up all the changes tomorrow, but I hope you enjoy the new look. Here’s to a successful blogging future!

    Looks nice with the fat links and the square units. Wow, you’re using Adbrite?

    I have some criticism though, the header is too wide for my 1024, the “T” in “Tech News” gets cut off, and I think four borders between the nav-menu and the content is too much. Would be nice if the content connected right up with the nav-menu.

    @PJ Brunet: Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll get the header issue fixed right away. About Adbrite, power in diversity, right? :)

    @Shane: Thanks for the compliment!
