File Destructor 2.0: The Lazy Man Rejoices

This entry was posted on Dec 06 2007

All generally lazy people can rejoice. Forgetting to do that report for work or that take home test for school is no longer a problem. (Note: I don’t condone the use of this to cheat or mislead others. But it’s a nifty tool that works just like it says!) Welcome File Destructor 2.0

What does File Destructor do? It spits out a garbage file that is exactly to your specifications. What does this mean? Let’s say you had a PowerPoint presentation tomorrow that your boss said you had to have emailed to him by tonight. Ok, now lets say you forgot until just now. All you need to do is go to File Destructor, tell it to give you a PowerPoint file, and when your boss tries to open it he’ll get a nice error message. It must be the computers fault, right? File Destructor gives you a file that is already corrupted or damaged. That way you can explain to its recipient how you “really” had that presentation done! ;)

Entering your specifications is very simple. You can enter your desired name, your extension, and your desired size. There are a wide variety of extensions that you can chose from. The following extensions are currently supported: doc, txt, zip, ppt, img, xls, jpg, pdf, bmp, gif, htm, rtf, sit, eps, mpg, mp3, mov, swf, psd, png, fla, pps.

You could probably make corrupted files just as easy on your own. But for those who don’t want to bother with it, this would work great. As I said above, I don’t condone using this, but it would be mighty funny to use it and get away with it! For fun, I tried my luck at a PDF file. Below is the error message I got on Windows Vista when I tried to open it.
