Stop SPAM By Not Giving Out Your Email Address
Have you ever been trying to sign up for an online service or “freebie” and thought to yourself “man, that’s gonna fill my inbox with SPAM”? Luckily, Spambox lets you give out your email with confidence. How, you may ask? By letting you not giving out your email address at all!
Spambox is a temporary email forwarder. Using their form (pictured on the left) you give them your email 
address and then chose how long you want the Spambox email to be valid. You can have your temporary email be valid anywhere from 30 minutes to a whole year. Plus, it comes with the option of extending the length or canceling the address any time you like.
Your Spambox email address will look quite cryptic. I had one made that was set to expire 30 minutes after I created it. The email address it gave me was QbOWCw2qVNj4wnFk@spambox.us. So why would you need this? This is perfect for those websites that require email verification, but that you would never want contact from later. For example, some download sites require a valid email to download their files. Or say you were making a comment on a form that you think has a shady privacy policy. Any email sent to your newly created Spambox address will be forwarded to your real email. Once your Spambox email expires, you stop getting the forwards. It’s ideally suited to get that “email confirmation” email and then never get emails (or SPAM) from them again.
It’s really quite a brilliant service that I wish I had found earlier. I’m sure I’ll be using this in the future if I ever have a need to use a website that I don’t trust. Wanna save yourself some SPAM? Use Spambox.
