Are You Ready? Try WordPress 2.5
A few day’s ago I saw a headline over at Jeffro2pt0 that got me excited. Chris Johnston has a demo site that lets you give WordPress 2.5 a spin. I finally got around to trying it, and it looks quite impressive. The entire admin interface has been redesigned and is easier to use. One of the upgrades I’m excited about is the ability to edit the feed content which appears on the main dashboard page. Now I can stop getting all those annoying updates.
Remember, this isn’t the final, stable version. This is merely a pre-release that Chris has installed for the public to monkey around with. But it makes me excited for its release in a another month or two. To access the demo, point your browser here, using the username admin and the password demo.

One of the few to actually admit that he likes the new redesign. I like it as well, but boy there sure is alot of hatred towards it. People are threatening not to upgrade if the final product looks anything like this, or if there isn’t a plugin which restores the classic look and functionality. This might be one of the most interesting releases to date.

@Jeffro That’s interesting. I’ve actually never been a fan of the classic interface that most everyone is using now. I’ve always thought it was cumbersome to use and frankly quite ugly. I think the 2.5 interface looks much classier. I wonder what people hate about it so much.
Ohhh… it’s ugly alright… I’d even say fugly… that that certainly won’t stop me from upgrading. That’s just silly.
