So I’m just about done with classes for the semester and then I’ll have a few weeks off. I’m looking forward to being able to catch up on things I’ve been neglecting. I’m currently finishing up my design of a custom plugin for the Market Theme as well as a few other freelance projects. Also, in a few days I’m going to revamp Simply-Basic with a new theme. I’ve been debating for a while on this. Since I don’t have time to code one from scratch I’ve decided to purchase a premium theme. I’ve found a few that I like, but I think I’ve settled on Shade Pro by Theme Spinner.

I just released a minor upgrade to Admin Favicon, a WordPress plugin which allows you to add a custom favicon to the WordPress administrative panels. It’s purely a cosmetic release which brings the CSS styling inline with WordPress 2.5. Grab the new download here.

I’m sorry to release updates to Smart Ads so close to each other! Smart Ads 1.1.2 fixes a bug that can cause Smart Ads to interfere with RSS feed content. The problem is fixed with this release. Please visit the offical plugin page to download.
Edit: If you use Feedburner to manage your RSS feed you may need to wait a little while for your feed to appear normal again. This is because Feedburner caches your feeds and updates the cache every 30 minutes. There are ways to make this go quicker. After upgrading your plugin to version 1.1.2 here is what to do:

Feed readers: my feed reader currently doesn’t display any of the content from Simply-Basic.com, only the title of the post. Are you getting the content? I’m wordering if it’s my reader or if something is misconfigured on the blog. If you can read this, drop by and let me know if it shows up!

My Smart Ads WordPress plugin just got smarter! Smart Ads has been upgraded to version 1.1.1, adding two requested features: the ability to disable all ads for logged in members and the ability to exclude ads from entire categories. Here’s the full list:

Just a quick note to my RSS subscribers: you may notice a large number of new posts in your feed. They are actually old posts. I just increased the number of posts that WordPress sends to the RSS feed so that new subscribers can get as many as 50 old posts. So sorry if I’ve flooded your reader today!
