WordPress Multi User (MU, for short) was recently updated to version 1.3.3. Based on the recent WordPress 2.3.3 upgrade, it fixes a some serious security flaws. Users should upgrade to ensure the integrity of their WordPress blogs. The official download can be found here.

Just saw this article on WinExtra, FeedDemon, by far the best RSS reader, is now free. FeedDemon has a lot of features that make reading blog articles simple, fast, and they retain most of their original formatting. If you need more details, Jeffro2pt0 did a great review of it a while back.
I’ve used FeedDemon for a few months now, and it is a great piece of software. It has great features and is extremely easy to set up. You can download FeedDemon for free here.

According to GameTap, Sony is making a deal with Skype that will let users of the PSP use their device as a telephone. Skype is an online VoIP service that lets users make calls to other Skype users for free over their computers, or to landline phones for a fee. Skype is already available for mobile phones, so this news isn’t that surprising.
There are several obvious limitations. Skype requires an active internet connection, meaning that users would need to be in an active Wi-Fi area. Also, users could only call other Skype users unless they pay the additional yearly fee. Currently, the update is only scheduled for the newer P-2000 model of the PSP. Exact…

Pownce, a service that allows you to send files and messages to your friends, has just announced that they are shedding their beta tag and opening their doors to the public. According to the email I received, the public launch will happen on January 22nd.
Pownce is an interesting service that I reviewed a while back. If you haven’t tried it out yet, in a few weeks you’ll get your chance.

So I’ve been using my PDA device running Windows Mobile 6.0, and I’ve been looking for some free software. I haven’t found a ton, but two sites seemed pretty good: Freeware PocketPC and Freeware PPC both have a decent selection of software for your device running Windows Mobile. I’ve already downloaded a few themes and software with out any problems. Anybody have any other suggestions for finding free mobile phone software?

Anyone who has looked into blogging has heard of Wordpress. Jeffro, over at Jeffro2pt0 is airing his first edition of Wordpress Weekly tomorrow, Friday, at 9PM EST. I don’t listen to that many Podcasts, but this one looks interesting. It lasts for an hour and will take place most Friday nights. Topics will revolve around Wordpress issues and news, such as themes, plugins, and other news.
