The past few days I’ve been debating on the best way to have a mini-feed in the sidebar of my blog. Really, I’ve been looking for a way to better let you guys keep track of what I’m doing, interesting things I’ve found, and things like that. Well, I’ve finally come up with a plan! I signed up for a Twitter account today. I’ve never used Twitter before. Actually, I’ve been pretty skeptical about it’s value in the past. According to GameTap, Sony is making a deal with Skype that will let users of the PSP use their device as a telephone. Skype is an online VoIP service that lets users make calls to other Skype users for free over their computers, or to landline phones for a fee. Skype is already available for mobile phones, so this news isn’t that surprising.
There are several obvious limitations. Skype requires an active internet connection, meaning that users would need to be in an active Wi-Fi area. Also, users could only call other Skype users unless they pay the additional yearly fee. Currently, the update is only scheduled for the newer P-2000 model of the PSP. Exact…

Pownce, a service that allows you to send files and messages to your friends, has just announced that they are shedding their beta tag and opening their doors to the public. According to the email I received, the public launch will happen on January 22nd.
Pownce is an interesting service that I reviewed a while back. If you haven’t tried it out yet, in a few weeks you’ll get your chance.
