Recently I blogged about the WordPress Market Theme and how impressed I was by it. I finally got a chance to give it an actual test drive and I stand by my review. Ever wonder what technology your favorite website uses? I just came across Built With, a web service that profiles the technology of your website. Just type in the URL and Built With will rate it based on the technology that it employs. Simply-Basic got a 5/5 on its usage of technology, of course it’s all WordPress’ doing. It’s a handy service that will give you an idea of areas of your website that could use improvement.

Anyone looking for a high traffic, PR7 WordPress-related site? Small Potato announced today that he’s selling WPDesigner.com, his extremely popular WordPress blog that he uses to release themes and report on other WordPress news. So I finally talked my wife into getting rid of Blogger and transferring to a WordPress blog. It took a bit of convincing though, since Blogger is so easy to use. What was the selling point? Any time she said, “I just wish Blogger did XYZ” I would come back with “Well there’s a plugin that will do that for WordPress.” The trick was that she wanted the blog to be private. She wanted only registered people to be able to see the content and she didn’t want them to see the ugly blue login form when loging into the blog.

I just came across a great premium WordPress theme called Market that I thought some of you may enjoy. I don’t typically talk to much about premium themes, but this one is worth mentioning!
Market is a marketplace built for WordPress. It uses custom fields to store product image information as well as price info which can be sent directly to PayPal when a customer choses to make a purchase. The theme has a minimalist look, but I prefer that as I usually alter the theme’s appearance anyway.
Best of all, the premium theme is only $40 for a user license (on as many websites as you want). I most likely will be picking up a copy of this…
