A few day’s ago I saw a headline over at Jeffro2pt0 that got me excited. Chris Johnston has a demo site that lets you give WordPress 2.5 a spin. I finally got around to trying it, and it looks quite impressive. The entire admin interface has been redesigned and is easier to use. One of the upgrades I’m excited about is the ability to edit the feed content which appears on the main dashboard page. Now I can stop getting all those annoying updates.
Remember, this isn’t the final, stable version. This is merely a pre-release that Chris has installed for the public to monkey around with. But it makes me excited for its release in a another…

WordPress Multi User (MU, for short) was recently updated to version 1.3.3. Based on the recent WordPress 2.3.3 upgrade, it fixes a some serious security flaws. Users should upgrade to ensure the integrity of their WordPress blogs. The official download can be found here.

So today I finally got around to upgrading my Wordpress admin theme. Steve Smith over at OrderedList.com has a killer theme for the Wordpress admin called the “WP Tiger Administration. It has over 40,000 downloads, and I can see why! The theme is visually a huge improvement over the default admin theme.
There are a few quirks with the theme. It uses CSS2, which is not compatible with all browsers. No worries, though. If your browser doesn’t support it you’ll just see the default theme. Overall, I’ve enjoyed using it. It takes some getting used to, as it changes the location of your menu. But with the much better visual appeal, it’s easy to get used to.…

The past few days I’ve been debating on the best way to have a mini-feed in the sidebar of my blog. Really, I’ve been looking for a way to better let you guys keep track of what I’m doing, interesting things I’ve found, and things like that. Well, I’ve finally come up with a plan! I signed up for a Twitter account today. I’ve never used Twitter before. Actually, I’ve been pretty skeptical about it’s value in the past. Anyone who has looked into blogging has heard of Wordpress. Jeffro, over at Jeffro2pt0 is airing his first edition of Wordpress Weekly tomorrow, Friday, at 9PM EST. I don’t listen to that many Podcasts, but this one looks interesting. It lasts for an hour and will take place most Friday nights. Topics will revolve around Wordpress issues and news, such as themes, plugins, and other news.
